In this research, we attempt to investigate the relationships of affective commitment between both
authentic leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. This study analyzes an empirical data
including authentic leadership, affective commitment, organizational citizenship behavior and demographic
variables. A survey was conducted for collecting information (total 187 employees from a manufacturing
organization) to test the hypotheses of this study.
The results of analysis suggest that leaders' authentic leadership is positively leading to employees'
organizational citizenship behaviors, and authentic leadership is the significant influential factor of
employees' affective commitment, and that affective commitment strengthens the relation between
authentic leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. For theoretical and practical implications,
leaders trying to enhance their self-awareness and self-reflection need to improve workforce's
organizational positive behavior based on affective commitment. The further contributions and limitations
of our findings are discussed.
