본 연구에서는 뉴스포츠 프로그램이 지적장애학생의 시지각 발달에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 연구문제를 첫째, 뉴스포츠 프로그램이 지적장애학생의 시지각 발달에 미치는 영향은 어떠한지 둘째, 뉴스포츠 프로그램이 지적장애학생의 시지각 발달의 하위영역에 미치는 영향은 어떠한지를 알아보는 것으로 설정하였다. 이상의 연구문제를 검증하기 위하여 초등학생 지적장애학생 무선표집하여 3명을 대상으로 방과 후 교육활동 시간에 뉴스포츠 종목 중 플로어볼(Floorball)과 패드민턴(Padminton)을 실시하였으며, 시지각 검사는 한국판 시지각 발달검사(Korean Developmental Test of Visual Perception-Adolescent; K-DTVP-A)로 측정하였다. 연구문제에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫쨋, 뉴스포츠 프로그램이 지적장애학생의 시지각 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 뉴스포츠 프로그램이 지적장애학생의 시지각 발달 하위항목 시각-운동탐색을 제외한 따라 그리기, 도형-배경, 시각 통합, 시각-운동 속도, 형태항상성 항목들에 대해서 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this research was to identify the effects of new sports program on visual perception development of mental retardation students. The research questions were established as follows. First, What is the effect of new sports program on visual perception development of mental retardation. According to resolve the above question, 3 students who diagnosed with a mental retardation were participated in an inclusive H special-education school in Ulsan by random sampling. The experiment put into operation Floorball and Padminton of new sports on Monday to Thursday during 8 weeks after school. Development Test of Visual Perception; DTVP used to Korean development test of Visual Perception - Adolescent; K-DTVP-A. The results of this study were as follows. First, the experiment in new sports program showed the positive effects about the rest of visual perception except visual-motor coordination. The result after performing in new sports program for the visual development of mental retardation. Post test scores indicate that the effect of improving the visual development and motor skill by showing a higher score than the pre-test score. Therefore, the advantage of the new sports were as follows. First, depending on the characteristics of the members of the game deformation is free. Second, it increases students' interest and participation.
