In this study, the characteristics of gasification reaction investigated to offer the fundamental
information for utilizing sewage sludge as energy sources. As reaction temperature increasing the
yields of gaseous products was increased, while residue and liquid products were decreased. The
yields of gaseous products were highest at equivalence ratio(ER) 0.2. As ER increased from 0.1 to
0.2, H2, CH4, C2H6 were increased while CO, CO2 were decreased. And ER increased from 0.2 to
0.3, CO2 was highly increased while H2, CO, CH4, C2H6 were decreased. Carbon conversion was
increased as reaction temperature up and cold gas efficiency was increased up to 800℃ while
decreased higher than 800℃. And as ER was increasing, carbon conversion was also increased
while cold gas efficiency was decreased in higher equivalence ratio than 0.2. As reaction
temperature changed H2/CO ratio was about 0.69 ~ 1.02 and CO/CO2 ratio was about 0.36 ~ 1.42.
As ER changed H2/CO ratio was about 0.7 ~ 1.10 and CO/CO2 ratio was about 0.41 ~ 1.45.
