Communicative competence is of paramount importance to teach and learn English all over the
world. More than anything else, to be communicatively competent, we need to be syntactically
conditioned concerning double object constructions. In this paper, I will try to expound the
analyses of double object constructions for English learners to improve communicative
competence. Double object constructions have played a crucial role in linguistic literature and
communicative competence. We will observe that there are symmetries, asymmetries concerning
double object constructions. We will also see that there are symmetries and asymmetries with
respect to passivization. Moreover, I will examine English pseudo-forms regarding authentic double
object constructions in details. I will also survey the instances of Korean pseudo-forms.
