The purpose of this study was to suggest implications of elementary school
curriculum integrating by using Fogarty’s models such as segmental, connected,
concentric circle, sequenced, sharing, spider-webbed, linear, integrated, immersed and
networked models. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the study was to
briefly review and outline Fogarty’s model. And, this study was designed for
practices of curriculum integration in the fourth grade by applying Fogarty’s model.
The conclusions of this study was as follows. Firstly, the Fogarty’s model was
expected to improve recognition and efficacy of curriculum integrating design by
curriculum designers. Secondly, Fogarty’s model was expected to provide guidance
for designing a curriculum by curriculum designers. Thirdly, Fogaty’s model was
expected to provide an opportunity to increase repertory of teachers for integrated
curriculum design. This study was expected to contribute to the curriculum
integration.
