이 연구의 목적은 체조활동 교육 내용 분석 시, 새로운 접근 방식인 문화적 접근을 통하여 초등학교 매트운동의 교육 내용을 분석하는데 있다. 연구 방법은 첫째, Bruner의 지식 구조 분석에 근거한 심동적, 인지적, 정의적 영역과 Vicker의 지식 구조 분 석의 틀에 근거하여, 제7차 초등학교 체육과 교육과정의 3학년, 5학년 체조 활동에서 매트운동의 교육 내용을 분석하였다. 둘째, 문화적 접근에 의한 매트운동의 교육 내용을 분석하기 위하여, 2007 개정 초등 체육과 교육과정에서 6학년 매트운동 교육내용 을 분석하였다. 매트운동의 교육내용 분석은 문화적 관점에서 체육을 구성하는 요소에 근거하여 교육내용을 분석하였다. 즉 명 제적 내용, 서사적 이야기, 기능, 덕, 스타일, 판단, 제도이다. 매트운동의 교육내용을 분석하여 초등학교 체육과 교육과정에서 교육방법, 교육 평가의 교육 활동이 문화적 관점에서 일관성을 유지하며 신체 활동의 가치를 실현시킬 수 있도록 접근하였다.
The purpose of this study is analysis on the contents of the mat exercises education in elementary schools through a cultural approach. The research methods include the following. First, the contents of the mat exercises education in gymnastics activity for students in the third and fifth grades in the seventh elementary physical education curriculum were analyzed based on the analytic framework of the structure of knowledge about physical education by Vicker as well as of the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective areas on the basis of an analysis of the knowledge structure by Bruner. Second, based on elements that comprise physical education from a cultural perspective, the contents of the mat exercises education for sixth graders in the 2007 revised elementary physical education curriculum were analyzed. Educational content structure of physical education is propositional contents, narratives, skills, virtue, styles, judgment, and rules. On the basis of the analyzed results of the contents of the mat exercise education, it would be necessary to realize the value of physical activities while the purpose, methods and assessment of the elementary physical education curriculum maintain consistency from a cultural perspective.
