이 연구는 초등학교 4학년과 5학년 수학 영재학생들에게, <다양한 계산식 만들기> 문제, 즉, 4 4 4 4 =에서 ＋, －, ×, ÷, ( )를 사용하여 0부터 10까지의 수가 되는 계산식을 만들도록 요구하고, 이에 대해 학생이 만든 식을 분석하여 학년별로 비교 하였다. 본 연구자는 2003년도에 초등학교 5학년 수학 영재학생을 대상으로 위의 문제를 조사한 결과, 다양하고 많은 계산식을 만들 수 있음을 발견하고[임문규(2007)], 2009년도 같은 문제를 4학년 수학 영재학생을 대상으로 조사⋅분석하였다[임문규(2010A)]. 이 연구에서는 조사한 년도의 차이는 있으나 분석틀을 재정립하여, 4학년과 5학년 수학 영재 학생들이 만든 식의 산출물을 서로 분석⋅비교하였다. 4, 5학년 수학 영재 학생들은 계산식 만들기에서, 전체적으로 보아 큰 차이가 나타나지 않았지만, 문 항과 내용에 있어서 약간의 차이가 나타났다. 학생들이 몸소 다양한 계산식을 만들어 봄으로써, 수학의 다양성을 직접 확인하 는 계기가 됨과 동시에, 계산식 만들기에 몰두하는 것으로 보아, 호기심과 집중력 및 탐구력이 길러질 것으로 판단된다.
In this study, I set the 4th and 5th grade children mathematically gifted in elementary school to pose the various number calculating formulars, 4 4 4 4 = 0, 1, 2,⋅⋅⋅10, by using to ＋, －, ×, ÷, ( ). And I analysed their products and compared 4th graders with 5th graders. In 2003, I gave the task as stated above to 5th graders and got a significant result(Lim, Mun Kyu,2007). To expand the target of my study, I used the same investigating method for children mathematically gifted of 4th graders in elementary school(Lim, Mun Kyu,2010). In this study, being gaps in years investigating, I readjusted to the analysing frames, and analysed and compared their products of the math brains in 4th and 5th grade. In posing the various number calculating formulars, being not greatly different of the products between the math brains in 4th and 5th grade, some differences were in the problems and posing contents. I think that they could confirmed personally the vareties of mathematics making of the various number calculating formulars themselves,
