This study investigated the effect of the Mandala Group Art Therapy on the media -addicted adolescent’s
depression and anxiety. The sample was drawn from 278 second year male and female students of a
middle school located in N city, as and conducted the depression, anxiety, K-scale, S-scale and biofeedback
test targeting these subjects. This study used random assignment of an experimental group(9 persons) and
control group(9 persons) after receiving a consent form from 18 students who wished to participate in the
art therapy program. The participants are teen, whose depression and anxiety were high, and who belonged
to the Internet-addicted watch & risk group in K-scale and S-scale. The experimental group participated in
a group art therapy program suing mandala, while the control group did not. The group art therapy
consisted of 90-minute sessions once or twice a week for a total of six sessions. The study used the
depression test, anxiety test, K-scale, S-scale, Biofeedback(AURACOM) test, AURA test, and the group art
therapy program using mandala. Results indicate a significant change in the media -addicted adolescent’s
depression and anxiety has been changed significantly. also, qualitative changes in the mandala with aura
and vitality and stability in the biofeed -back test were indicated.
