Elementary school teachers who teach the variety of 8-10 subjects have difficulty in
controling physical education classes in playgrounds and gyms compare with classroom. We
investigated the effect of vaulting horse forward roll class applying the self-directed
individualized teaching model to enhance the quality of physical education class for various of
physical activity experience and balance of controlled class. 24 elementary students (male 14,
female, 10) completed the self-directed individualized teaching model (40 min, 3 day/week) for
weeks. The participants evaluated the open questionnaire to evaluate the physical education
class differences in perception of pre and post surveys and 6 students (male 3, female 3) were
conducted in-depth interviews, self-directed individualized instruction model (vaulting horse
forward roll) the class of analysis results by collecting the specific data through the 8 periods
class which may represent the best derived as follows. First, the students are aware of fun in
the vaulting horse forward roll fun before class (20.8% 5 people) than after class (79.2%, 19
people) Second, the students are highly aware of the understanding in the vaulting horse
forward roll class before class (33.3%, 8 people) and after class (66.7%, 16 people) Third, the
students in 83.3% (20 people) have expected to increase the effectiveness of the vaulting horse
forward roll class through self-directed individualized instructional model and shown to the
satisfaction in the vaulting horse forward roll increase awareness classes.
