본 연구는 접적지역 복무 소대장들의 적응도 결정요인을 분석하고, 이를 토대로 접적지역 복무 소대장들 의 군 생활 적응도를 높이는데 필요한 기초자료에 관한 연구이다. 즉, 본 연구는 개인특성 요인, 조직특성 요인, 적응관리 요인, 적응성과 요인의 효과를 실증적으로 검증하였으며, 이를 위해 전방부대 소대장 대상 으로 설문지 배포 및 회수하였으며, 이중 154부를 대상으로 통계분석 하였다. 본 연구를 통한 결과는 첫째, 소대장의 군 복무 적응심리는 스트레스는 낮고, 전우애와 중대장의 애정도 가 높을수록, 소대장의 군 복무 적응심리가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 소대장의 군 복무 적응행동은 스 트레스는 낮을수록, 중대장의 리더십 정도는 높을수록 소대장의 적응행동은 높은 것으로 나타났다. 결국, 본 연구는 접적지역 복무 소대장에 대한 스트레스 영향과 중대장의 리더십 역량 발휘 및 중대장의 애정도 에 따라 접적지역 소대장의 군 복무 적응도가 결정된다는 의미를 확인한 연구이다. 본 연구 결과의 시사점은 접적지역 복무 소대장의 적응도는 상급자인 중대장의 리더십 발휘가 절대적인 영향을 미치는 결과로 중대장의 리더십 발휘역량에 대한 현실적인 군 프로그램 개발에 대한 다양한 연구가 지속되어야 할 것이다.
This study explores the major determinants of the adaptability of the platoon leader in the contact areas of the Korean Army. To do so, the study employs 4 factors such as individual factor, organizational factor, adaptability management factor, and adaptability performance factor for empirical testing. Data used for empirical analysis are collected from the questionnaire survey of 154 cases. Research results show two major findings as follows: i) the less stressful and the more comradeship will enhance the adaptability of the platoon leader; and ii) the less stressful and the more effective company commander’s leadership will improve the adaptability of the platoon leader. In short, the major determinants of the platoon leader’s adaptability are the less stress, the more effective upper level leadership, and the comradeship. This research results imply that the more effective educational programs for company commander, less stressful working environment, and the more effective comradeship enhancement programs needs to be designed and implemented to develop better platoon leader’s adaptability in the contact areas of Korean Army.
