본 연구는 알코올 중독 가정 자녀가 알코올 중독자가 되어가는 과정을 이해하고자 하는 연구이다. 이를 위해서 알코올 중독 가정 자녀였던 한 알코올 중독자를 대상으로 3년 정 도에 걸친 인터뷰와 관찰 등 다양한 경험 자료를 수집하였으며 현상학적 해석학 접근을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 알코올 중독 가정 자녀의 알코올 중독 경험의 본질은 ‘고통스 런 자아를 감추어준 술이라는 가면, 그 뒤에 감출래야 감춰지지 못한 수치심’으로 집중 되었다. 이는 알코올 중독 가정 자녀로서 경험하는 두려움과 수치감을 해결하는 과정에 서 오롯이 혼자서 감당하고 대처하고 있음을 의미한다. 이러한 본질은 첫째, 알코올 중 독 가정의 자녀는 알코올 중독 부모로 인해 경험하는 혼란된 감정을 혼자서 견디고 있다 는 것. 둘째, 주변의 부정적 반응과 시선으로 부터 벗어나기 위해 자신의 감정을 억압한 다는 것. 셋째, 억압된 감정이 술로 대치되면서 불안과 두려움으로 부터 일시적 편안함 을 얻게 됨. 넷째, 술 안에서 찾은 쉼이 내적 갈등을 유발함. 다섯째, 아버지에게서 자신 에게로 부활된 술의 고통이 생사기로에 놓이게 함. 이러한 경험적 근거를 기반으로 하여 알코올 중독 가정 자녀에 대한 사회복지의 실천적 대안과 과제를 제안하였다.
This study which is based on in-depth interviews for addiction process of children's of alcoholics. Using a Hermeneutic Phenomenological Case Study, I found that the essence of alcoholic intoxication is ‘lt gave alcohol to alleviate the painful experience, but did not hide the shame of children's of alcoholics’. It Means that The children were alone cope with fear and shame. Their experiences of essence of the addition process are following : first, ‘Holding up a confused feeling alone’, second, ‘Repress one's emotions to escape from its negative eyes’, three, ‘Repressed feelings gave way to alcohol’, four, ‘Again causes internal conflicts’. five, ‘standing at the crossroad of the life and death due to alcohol’. Based on these findings, I suggested that the tasks social worker has to do and social work practical alternative proposals and challenges.
