본 연구는 북한이탈주민 어머니의 놀이참여 및 놀이신념과 또래놀이 상호작용이 자녀의 사회적 능력 에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 수도권에 거주하는 만 4-5세 유아기 자녀를 둔 북한이탈주민 어머니 112명을 대상으로 어머니의 놀이참여, 놀이신념과 또래놀이 상호작용, 자녀의 사회적 능력 척도를 사용하였다. 북한이탈주민 어머니의 놀이참여 및 놀이신념과 또래놀이 상호작용, 자녀의 사회적 능력 간의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 Pearson의 상관관계 분석을 실시하였으며, 자녀의 사회적 능력에 미치는 상대적인 영향력을 알아보기 위하여 위계적 회귀분석을 통하여 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 북한이탈주민 자녀의 사회적 능력은 어머니의 놀이참여 및 놀이신 념과 정적 상관관계가 나타난 반면, 또래놀이 상호작용과는 부적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 북한이 탈주민 자녀의 사회적 능력에 영향을 미치는 변인을 모두 고려하여 분석한 결과, 64.4%의 설명력이 나타났으며, 어머니의 놀이참여가 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 변인으로 나타났다. 이상 종합하면, 북한 이탈주민 어머니에게 자녀와 함께 활동할 수 있는 놀이방법 및 온라인 오프라인을 통한 정보제공, 놀 이에 대한 인식 전환 교육 등 이들의 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 통합 서비스를 제공해 주어야 할 필요가 제기된다.
The purpose of this study was to examine effect of North Korean refugee mothers’ play participation, play beliefs and peer play interaction on their children’s social skills. For this purpose, the survey was performed for 112 North Korean refugee mothers having 4-5 years children living in the Metropolitan(Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon) through items measuring mothers’ play participation, play beliefs and peer play interaction and children’ social skills. To explore the relationships among these four factors, the correlation analysis were carried out and hierarchical regression were also performed for examining relative influence of mothers’ play participation, play beliefs and peer play interaction on their children’s social skills. The results of this study are as follows. First, North Korean refugee children’s social skills had positive correlations with their mothers’ play participation and play beliefs but had negative correlations with peer play interaction. Second, R2 of the regression analysis was .644 and mothers’ play participation had the highest relative influence on children’s social skills. In conclusion, it is required to offer customized integrated services providing information on method for playing with children and help changing North Korean refugee mothers’ perception to play for them.
