This study aimed at investigating direct and indirect effects of self-resilience influenced on
sensitivity of infant teacher also analysing mediation effect of job stress and moderation effect of
efficacy of child care and education.
For this, the research problems selected by the researcher are as follows.
1. What is the relation among self-resilience, job stress, efficacy of child care and education
and sensitivity of infant teacher?
2. What are the direct and indirect effects of self-resilience and job stress on sensitivity of
infant teacher?
2-1) What is the direct effect of self-resilience and job stress on sensitivity of infant teacher?
2-2) How is the mediation effect of job stress in self-resilience in the path to sensitivity of
infant teacher?
3. How is the moderation effect of efficacy of child care and education in self-resilience with
mediating job stress in the path to sensitivity of infant teacher.
The object of this study is 329 infant teachers in charge of 0 to 2 year-old infants in 63
nurseries located in Busan & Gyeongnam. The tools of this study were the scale of sensitivity of
teacher which was developed by Kim hyun-ji(2008) to measure sensitivity of teacher and modified
and complemented by Kim mi-young(2010), the scale developed by Klohnen(1996) and translated
by Park hyun-jin(1996) and used by Shim sun-ae to measure self-resilience, the scale of job stress
modified and complemented by Shin hye-young(2004) which was based on Modified Teacher
Occupational Stress Factor Questionnaire by D'Arienzo, Morraco & Krafewski(1982) and the scale
of job stress of Kim jeong-hwi(1992) and the scale of effect of efficacy of child care and
education developed by Hyun jung-whan(2003) which was modified and complemented by Ju
yoon-ha(2013).
After a preliminary survey, main survey was conducted and 329 of copies were used as the
final analysis data. Along with the problem of this research, percentage, frequency analysis,
Pearson's correlation, path analysis were implemented by using SPSS 21.0 and Amos 21.0
programs.
The summaries of major results of this research and conclusion are as follows.
First, sensitivity of infant teacher appeared high as self-resilience was higher, job stress was
lower, efficacy of child care and education was higher.
Second, self-resilience and job stress on sensitivity of infant teacher appeared to affect the
direct route.
Third, the moderation effect of efficacy of child care and education was found in self-resilience
with job stress-mediated in the path to sensitivity of infant teacher.
