최근 발달장애인권리보장 및 지원에 관한 법률의 시행으로 장애인부모동료상담교육 의 필요성이 제기되고 있는 경향이 나타나고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 2014년부터 실시되고 있는 장애인부모동료상담교육의 효과성을 분 석하여 그 효과성을 입증하고 장애인부모동료상담 교육의 활성화를 위한 향후 추진과제 를 제시 하고자 한다. 연구방법은 2014년부터 전국 5개 지역(서울, 인천, 경기, 대전, 대구) 대학과 연계하여 3년 과정으로 시작된 장애인부모동료상담사 양성과정 1차 년도 수강생 95명과 교육에 참여하지 않은 일반 장애인부모 80명 전체 175명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 두 집단의 차이를 분석하여 동료상담 교육의 효과를 분석하고 수강생 중에서 11명을 지역 별로 선정하여 집중인터뷰(FGI)를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 교육을 받은 집단이 교육을 받지 않은 집단 보다 장애인부모정체감, 자기 효능감, 자아존중감, 대인관계변화, 스트레스 수용 면에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 초점집단인터뷰(FGI)조사결과에서도 장애인부모동료상담을 통하여 심리적 변화의 효과를 경험하였다고 진술하고 있으며, 장애인부모동료상담 제도화와 함께 실제 적인 상담활동지원 등 향후 추진방안에 대한 제언을 하였다.
Recently, The necessity of education program for disabled parents counseling their peer groups has been brought up due to the implementation of the Act on Support and developmental disability rights guarantee. The purpose of this research is hence to present proposals for improvements of the education program for the disabled parents peer group counseling after careful analysis of the effectiveness of the training program. The research methods used in this paper is to conduct survey and interview. 95 students who were in their first year out of three year counselor certificate program at universities in cities like Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Daejeon and Daegu and 80 disabled parents with no training background were selected for the survey. 11 students from training program were selected from each city and they performed intensive interview(FGI) to analyze the difference between two groups and the effectiveness of the peer group counseling education program. The research results show statistically significant differences between two groups; the educated group showed more positive meaning in terms of identity of disabled parents, self-effectiveness, self-worth, changes of personal relationships and stress than noneducated group. Therefore, I propose the revitalization of Peer Counseling Training for Disabled Parents and the future plans to support the substantial consultation activities.
