본 연구의 목적은 구성주의 교실공동체에서 이루어진 만 5세 유아들의 ‘에너지’ 주제 탐구과정 을 분석하여 지속가능발전교육에 대한 교육적 의미를 도출하는데 있다. 본 연구는 질적 사례 연구 로서 ‘에너지’ 주제 탐구 과정에 대한 교사의 일과평가서와 교사면담 자료를 심층적으로 분석하여 이루어졌다. 분석 결과, 구성주의 교실공동체에서 이루어진 ‘에너지’ 주제 탐구과정에서 첫째, 유아 들은 환경문제에 관심을 가지고 비판적으로 사고하는 모습을 보여주었으며, 둘째, 환경문제를 개인 적 차원에서 머물지 않고, 사회적 차원으로 확대하여 문제를 해결하고자 능동적으로 노력하는 태도 를 찾아볼 수 있었다. 셋째, 환경문제를 사회적, 경제적 차원과 연결하여 사고하는 모습을 드러내주 었고, 넷째, 지속가능발전교육을 위한 미디어 활용의 가치를 발견할 수 있었다. 다섯째, 교실공동체 구성원으로서의 유아와 교사의 상호적 관계를 통한 지속가능발전교육의 가치를 함께 공유하는 모 습을 발견하였다.
This study, as a qualitative case study, was done through analyzing in depth teachers' daily evaluation sheets and interview with teacher about the process of the theme 'energy'. As a result, in the process of studying the theme 'energy' inside the constructivism class community, first of all children showed interest in environmental issues and thought critically. Second, children actively tried to solve the environmental problem through expanding the problem to social dimension, rather than staying on personal dimension. Third, children thought about the environmental issues in relation to social and economic dimensions. Fourth, the value of media use for sustainable development education was found. Fifth, the effect of education for sustainable development through mutual relationship between children and teachers as a member of class community was experienced.
