서론 본 연구는 현재 대학에 재학중인 작업치료학과 학생들을 대상으로 그들의 전공 선택 동기에 따른 전 공 만족도 및 전공 성취도를 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법 작업치료과가 개설되어 있는 경북 도내에 소재해 있는 대학의 작업치료과 재학생들 75명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여, 전공 선택 동기에 따른 전공 만족도 및 전공 성취도의 관계를 비교 분석하였다. 연구결과 총 배부된 75부 중 정확히 기입된 66부를 가지고 비교 분석하였으며, 전공 선택 동기가 적성 및 흥미에 의해서 일 경우 전공 만족도 및 전공 성취도는 높은 경향이 나타났으며, 취업 전망, 점수에 맞추어서, 타인의 추천 등으로 인했을 경우에는 상대적으로 낮은 전공 만족도 및 전공 성취도가 나타났다. 결론 전공 선택시 자신의 의한 능동적 선택시 보다 긍정적인 전공 만족도 및 전공 성취도가 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었으나, 적은 대상군으로 인해 추후 연구에서는 이를 보완한 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료 된다.
Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate how the major selection motivation impact on the Major Satisfaction and Major Accomplishment of students who major in occupational therapy. Methods : Analyze survey of major characteristic from 75 students of Dept. of occupational therapy in KyungBuk region. Compare and analyze the major accomplishment and major satisfaction related on the major selection motivation. Results : Among a total of 75 questionnaires distributed, 66 copies that were answered properly were compared and analyzed. The students’ major satisfaction and achievement had a high tendency if their major selection motivation was based on their aptitude and interest, while their major satisfaction and achievement had a low tendency if their major selection was in accordance with the employment prospect, based on their entrance examination scores, or by others’ recommendations. Conclusion : It was found that students had a positive major satisfaction and achievement when they actively selected the major by themselves, but it is considered that a further study is needed to complement the fact that there was a small control group in the current research.
