Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate satisfaction of constraint- induced movement
therapy(CIMT) for patients with stroke.
Methods : This study analyzed 16 survey questionnaires given to patients in general hospital from May,
2011 to October, 2011.
Results : The satisfaction of the patients an average on 7.86 point out of 10. The majority(55.6%) of
the reasons for positive response reported that CIMT enable the self exercise, 33.3% felt that
CIMT facilitated the use of affect arm and 11.1% felt confidence of high achievement. In
contrast, 57.1% of the reasons for negative response felt tired because of too many treatment
schedule. Unclear reason of CIMT, no effectiveness of CIMT account for 28.6%, 14.3%
respectively.
Conclusion : The results of the study were contributing to our knowledge regarding way to provide CIMT.
In future study, diverse and modified CIMT should be applied in clinics.
