Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of team based child care simulation learning on critical
thinking and problem solving ability of nursing students. Methods: The participants were 242 nursing students. The data
was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, two-way ANOVA. Results: The mean score of critical thinking was
3.67±0.34, problem solving ability was 3.46±0.49 before this study. After team based child care simulation learning, the
mean score of critical thinking was 3.73±0.36(t=-2.09, p=.037), problem solving ability was 3.69±0.48(t=-5.42, p<.001).
Conclusion: From the studies reviewed, it can expect the positive effect to critical thinking and problem solving ability of
nursing students through team based child care simulation learning. Although the findings are still preliminary, nursing
students needed to consider the team based child care simulation learning for nursing care of infants and children.
