Currently chronic kidney disease among elderly population has been increased with various needs from
preventing acceleration of kidney disease to satisfying quality of life. The comprehensive case management
service for this population is urgently needed but few expert addressed this issue. Thus, this study was to
explore the potential to employ the comprehensive case management service by providing medical and
social services to a female client with kidney disorder and her family. Medical social work service team in
S hospital located Seongnam Si was involved in this case from September to December, 2014. This study
employed the single case study design to evaluate the medical and physical function, psychological function,
social network, and medication and self management skills with standardized instruments(quality of life,
depression), and the rest of other dimensions assessed by medical records and goal-attainment scales. Based
on the results, the discussion and future challenges were addressed.
