This study analyses recent movement of the after-school childcare service policy in
Korea, Japan & Sweden, and then searches for the implications related to the after-school
childcare service policy of Korea. Specifically, researcher reviews outlines & details of the
after-school childcare service policy in Korea, Japan & Sweden. According to it,
researcher is willing to elicit implications related to the after-school childcare service
policy of Korea. And the after-school childcare service policy of the three nations are
analysed comparatively in six aspects, that is, ①the background of policy & law,
institutions, ②goals, ③accountability, effects & utilization, ④leader, ⑤financial resources,
⑥contents of the programs. Lastly, six conclusions are represented in same six aspects.
