The purpose of this study is twofold. First, it identifies influence on suicide thought of attitude to death
and satisfaction about life of middle school students currently in 2016. Second, by comparing in 2016
research with the previous 2011 results, and analyzing the difference for suicidal thoughts of middle school
students, it is to help education programs development and counseling for suicide prevention based on
this. The examinations of suicide thoughts, attitudes about death, and satisfaction about life of middle
school students focusing on the results are as follows. As variables affecting suicide thought, satisfaction
about life showed relatively large influence. Factors directly affected are that middle school students have a
conversation frequently with their father or mother and usually maintain a good health condition. That is,
in order to prevent the urge that adolescents choose to commit suicide extremely, they should usually
have frequent conversations with parents, and maintain good physical health, and so establish a positive
feeling about themselves and increase life satisfaction. In particular, it appears that dialog with the father
becomes important. Considering the times, middle school 2 grade students and girls are required much
attention. Comparing the results of 2016 and 2011 year, the protection factor of suicide can be seen to
be a little improved.
