As the heart of children in Japan has become deserted, bullying, truancy, and
juvenile delinquency at the site of the schools has increased. Furthermore, It has
developed into a problem which brought the class to collapse.
The morning reading movement in Japan was initiated to overcome these problem
situations. Reading is a means not only to gain knowledge, but also to strengthen the
power to think, the power to feel, the power to imagine, and the power to express.
Therefore, the morning reading movement in Japan can be called education for safety
and security for the young people through emotional control and emotional stability.
In this study, the meaning and background development on the morning reading
movement is analyzed. The effects of morning reading is also reviewed through related
literature. The effect is analyzed to be effective in terms of learning guidance as well
as life instruction through education.
