The object of this study is examine the difference between military organizational culture and
gender equality consciousness, and provide the way to raise military oriented gender equality
consciousness and values. Thus, study analyzed correlation and impact of sociodrama graphic
difference between military organizational culture and gender equality consciousness.
The study includes the total 1,023 of Army executives (noncommissioned officers, military
civilians and officers), and their survey results are used for analysis.
The results of this study are summarized as follows.
First, types of military organization culture are prioritizes by order of rational culture,
developmental culture, hierarchical culture and organizational culture. The highest rage of age
overall and in organizational culture is from 26 to 29, and over 56 in hierarchical culture. Second,
gender equality consciousness has shown statistically significant difference as a whole and also
in gender, age, status. Females were found to be higher in all areas of gender equality than
males. Moreover, result indicates people aged 20 to 25 are significantly higher than people aged
over 50, and people aged 30 to 39 and 40 to 49 are higher than 50 to 55 in the entire gender
equality consciousness. Officers and noncommissioned officers have shown significantly higher
gender equality consciousness in terms of the overall gender equality, household life, education
life, career life, careers, social life, and social welfare life than military civilians. Finally, the
correlation between military organizational culture and gender equality consciousness shows
positive statistical correlation, and the result of military organizational culture’s impact towards gender equality consciousness statistically effects only in rational culture(t=11.733, p<0.001) and
developmental culture(t=-3.593, p<0.001). These research results provide needs of policy
implication in gender equality education, mutual understanding of organization and management
of change in organizational culture by analyzing difference between military organizational culture
and gender equality consciousness that can coordinate conflict in organization members.
