The purpose of this study is to investigate how teachers' awareness and, attitudes are changed
during the action research on art activities for toddlers. For this purpose, home day care teacher in
A city in Gyeonggi province were interviewed and reviewed the literature for 10 weeks before
starting the action research. The bahaviors of the toddlers and teacher and field note were recorded,
transcribed, coded, and categorized in the course of executing the art activities for 10 weeks.
Through the process of planning and executing sensory - centered art activities, first, teacher
recognized that art activities are not to show to parents, but to toddlers to be developmentally
valued. Second, the teacher acknowledges that the initiative of the activities is in the toddlers. Third,
the teacher realized that she was willing to accept some hassle for meaningful experiences. Finally,
the teacher realized the importance of observing, responding, and accepting toddlers reaction and
explorations. This study suggests that teacher reflect on her teaching methods and roles in the
process of worrying and practicing for the effective practice of art activities supporting the
development of toddlers 2 years old.
