Interest on the competence which are required for talented people of the 21st century that can
adapt to and cope with a rapidly changing environment has been maximized in today's world known
as a knowledge-based society and globalization(Kim, M. S., Chol. S. D., Cha, S. H., Jo, S. M.,. &
Ha. Y. M., 2012; Kim et al., 2014; OECD, 2005). Thus, not only basic ability for both daily life
and successful career life but also competence, demanded throughout the whole lifetime, is
highlighted in a knowledge-based society, such as, determining the cause of the problem, finding a
best solution, and resolving conflicts. In addition to that, a high-level thinking ability such as
creativity is needed rather than knowledge memorizing in a knowledge-based society(Kim, M. S.,
Chol. S. D., Cha, S. H., Jo, S. M.,. & Ha. Y. M., 2012. However, it is true that our country lacks
in developing creativity competence which is one of the most important competences due to
emphasizing knowledge-oriented learning by rote so far.
