본 연구는 실천현장의 사회복지사가 인지하는 사회복지교육이 공감실천에 미치는 영 향과 사회복지교육과 공감실천과의 관계에서 사회복지사의 전문직 정체성의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해, 종합사회복지관에 근무하는 사회복지사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하 였다. 286명의 사회복지사가 연구에 참여하였으며, 수집된 자료를 SPSS를 사용하여 분 석한 결과, 사회복지교육은 사회복지사의 공감실천과 전문직 정체성에 정적 관계를 가 지는 것으로 나타났으며, 또한 사회복지사가 인지하는 전문직 정체성은 사회복지교육과 공감실천에 유의한 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 제시되었다. 이러한 결과는 실천현장에서 사회복지사의 공감실천 수준이 사회복지교육과 사회복지사의 전문가로서의 역할에 대한 인식과 관련이 있으며, 이러한 측면에서 사회복지사의 서비스 효과성에 중요한 영향을 미치는 공감실천의 증진을 위해 사회복지교육과 전문직 정체성 향상을 고려한 개입전략 이 모색되어야 할 필요성을 시사하고 있다. 마지막으로, 본 연구결과를 기초로 사회복지 사의 공감실천의 강화를 위한 함의와 후속연구 방안을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to explore the impacts of social work education on the empathic practice and professional identity among social workers and the mediating effect of professional identity between education and empathic practice. The data were collected from 286 social workers and the results were analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that social work education had statistically significant effects on the empathic practice and professional identity among social workers. In addition, there was a statistically significant mediating effect of professional identity on the association of between social work education and empathic practice among social workers. Based on these findings, the implications for social work education and professional identity to improve social workers' empathic practice and recommendations for the further studies were presented.
