이 연구는 Taylor와 Ray(2012)가 개발한 아들러 성격우선순위검사(Adlerian Personality Priority Assessment [APPA])를 한국어로 번안하여 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증함으로써 상담과 교육 등의 다양한 분야에서 활용할 수 있도록 하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구대상은 서울, 경기, 충청 지 역의 대학생 699명이었으며 수집된 자료는 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석, 상관분석, 신 뢰도분석 등을 사용하여 척도의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 원 척도와 동일한 4가지 요인(기쁘게 하기, 통제, 우월성, 편안함)의 21문항으로 이루어 진 요인구조가 확인되었다. 공인타당도를 알아보기 위해 선행 연구를 토대로 각 하위 요인 들과 사회적 관심 척도(SIS), 역기능적 태도 척도(DAS), 내외 통제성 척도(LOC), 자아존중감를 측정하여 공인타당도를 확보하였고 모형의 적합도는 df = 183, χ2 = 610,88 RMSEA = .06, IFI = .90, CFI = .90, GFI = .92로 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 신뢰도 검증을 위한 Chronbach‘s α 계수도 기쁘게 하기 .83, 우월성 .80, 편안함 .70, 통제 .68로, 전체 신뢰도는 .76으로 신뢰 할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 K-APPA는 타당도와 신뢰도가 적합한 검사 도구로 볼 수 있다. 이 연구는 내담자의 성격우선순위를 이해하고 상담 목표와 치료 계획을 수립할 수 있도록 도울 수 있으며, 교육 분야에서도 널리 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.
This study aims to translate and validate the Adlerian Personality Priority Assessment(APPA) in Korean. The research data was collected from 699 university students living in Seoul city and Kyunggi and Chungcheong provinces to verify levels of confidence and validity using the criteria of explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and reliability analysis. Explanatory factor analysis confirmed the composition of factors, which consisted of 21 questions on four factors (pleasing, control, superiority, comfort), the same as in the original criteria. In order to test criteria-related validity, the correlation was examined between the sub-elements and the Social Interest Scale(SIS), Dysfunctional Attitude Scale(DAS), Internal-External Locus of Control Scale(LOC) and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale(RSES), based on preceding researches. The results were: df = 183, χ2 = 610.88, RMSEA = .06, IFI = .90, CFI = .90, and GFI = .92. The results of Chronbach’s α to examine reliability were: Pleasing .83, Superiority .80, Comfort .70, Control .68, and a total of .76. Thus, K-APPA was deemed reliable. As such, K-APPA has been proven to be an appropriate instrument having reliability and validity. Because of this study, K-APPA can help to understand clients’ personality priorities, set up counselling and therapy, and can be utilized in academic fields as well.
