2015년 8월 교육부는 사회적 수요에 따른 맞춤형 인재 양성을 위한 질적 구조개혁과 재도약 가능성이 있는 대학의 자율적 노력에 대한 적극적인 지원을 위해 대학을 평가하여 결과에 따른 등급별 감축 비율 권고 등 정원감축에 노력을 가하겠다고 발표했다. 이는 학령인구 급감에 대비한 선제적 구조개혁이며, 사회적으로 필요로 하는 맞춤형 인 재를 양성할 수 있도록 경쟁력 있는 대학으로 탈바꿈하기 위한 하나의 대책마련으로 사료 된다. 국내의 경호학과가 1996년 최초 설립 후 미래 4차 혁명 시대에 대비하기 위한 교육과정 의 변화가 필요하며 교육목표, 취업진로에 방향이 정체되어 있다. 이에 따라서 과감하게 시대에 맞게 관련자격증과 교육과정, 국가직무능력표준(NCS), 전문교육과정이 앞으로 도 입되어야 한다. 그 한 예로 한세대학교, 중앙대학교, 극동대학교에는 산업보안학과가 생겼고 경기대학 교, 성신여자대학교에는 융합보안학과가 생겨나는 추세이다. 대학원의 경우 건국대에 안보 재난대학원, 정보정책대학원, 형사사법대학원, 가천대 국가안보대학원, 성균관대 국가전략 대학원 등이 생겨나고 있는 현실에서 경호학으로만 안주해서는 안 되는 시점이다. 본 논문에서는 현재 각 주요 대학의 경호관련, 경찰관련, 산업보안관련, 군사관련 학과 들의 교과과정 및 교과목을 중심으로 분석하였다. 학과 간의 통 · 폐합과 시대적 요청에 따른 변화를 미리 예측하여 향후에 대비할 필요가 있겠다. 전문대학에서 국가직무능력표 준(NCS)을 적용하고 있는 시점에서 4년제 대학과 전문대학과의 유기적인 협조와 산학관 의 상호협력을 절실히 모색해야하는 시점으로 본다.
In 2015 the Department of Education announced that it will make downsizing efforts by recommending classified downsizing ratio according to the evaluation of universities for active support toward autonomous efforts of universities with the possibilities of reform and qualitative structural reform for customized human resource cultivation according to the social demands. This is the preemtive structural reform preparing against the rapid decrease of the number of students, and the preparation for changing into competitive universities so that customized human resource that is needed in the society can be trained. Security Science Departments of Korea, first established in 1996, need changes in curriculum in order to prepare for the fourth revolution of the future, and are stagnant on the education goal and employment course. Therefore the adoption of related certificates, curriculum, NCS, and professional curriculum is needed. For example, Hansei University, Chung-Ang University, and Far East University have established the Department of Industrial Security, and Kyonggi University and Sungshin Women’s University have established the Department of Convergence Security. Also, Konkuk University has established the Graduate School of Security and Disasters, the Graduate School of Information and Policy, the Graduate School of Criminal Justice, Gachon University the Graduate School of National Security, Sungkyunkwan University the Graduate School of Strategic Studies. This shows that the field of Security Science should not settle for itself. This article analyzes current curriculum and subjects of security, police, industrial security, military related academic departments of key universities.
