Purpose: This study was to compare nursing professionalism, role conflict and major satisfaction of nursing students according
to clinical practice experience. Method: Using a structured questionnaire, data were collected from 116 nursing
students without clinical practice experience and 110 nursing students with clinical practice experience. The data were
collected in March 2017 and analyzed using SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. Result: Nursing students with clinical practice experience
showed a significantly higher score in social awareness of nursing professionalism(t=-2.224, p=.027) and a significantly
lower score in role conflict(t=2.077, p=.039) than nursing students without clinical practice experience.
Conclusion: Nursing educators' efforts are needed to improve the level of clinical practice education so that nursing students
contribute to forming desirable nursing professionalism by reducing role conflict in clinical practice and improving
majors satisfaction.
