The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the usability of the Korean
version of Autism Spectrum Disorder-Diagnostic for Children(K-ASD-DC)
as a screening tool for children visiting outpatient clinics. For this study, the
group of Autism Spectrum Disorders(ASD) and non-Autism Spectrum
Disorders(non-ASD) whose age from 2 to 16 years, a total number of 128,
were included. K-ASD-DC had high internal consistency and significant
mean differences between the group of ASD and non-ASD. High
correlations between K-ASD-DC and K-CARS were found. The total score
of K-ASD-DC can predict a group of ASD, and a significant relationship
was found between the groups with the diagnosis made by the psychiatrist
and the cut-off score of K-ASD-DC. By the findings of this study, clinical
and research implications and limitations are discussed.
