the United States. This review paper provides an overview of theoretical frameworks for health disparities
research, as well as issues relating to disparities in mental health care and mental health status among
older adults. The authors also discuss available secondary data sets for aging and health disparities
research. Implications and future directions for Korean aging and health disparities research are discussed.
