analyzing the trend of PDFF as its role, 578 films were screened for the enjoyment
of culture and arts education for the disabled during the past 17 years. The total
number of viewers who watched movies during the screening period was 38,150 and
the number of people with disabilities was 29,170 . The total screening dates for the
film festival were 76 during the 17th time, and there were 24 places in total, in seoul
except for the 8th film festival. As a skilled arts educator with disabilities, the total
number of films was 192, excluding 22 materials that were not found. There were 8
double, 8 mid, 59 mid, and 125 short pieces showing run-time variations. The genres of
the films screened at PDFF were drama 41, documentary 144, animation 2, drama /
animated movie 1, and music video 2. These results show that PDFF has been carrying
out the role of lifelong education for a long time to revitalize cultural arts education for
people with disabilities. Since 2000, PDFF has expanded opportunities to enjoy
cultural arts education through film screening. Through the provision of film
production opportunities, PDFF has been skilled in arts and culture education so that
disabled people can voluntarily participate in culture and arts education. In this
study, it is expected that the role of PDFF in lifelong education can be used as a
reference material for the practice field in other art genres.
