This study was conducted to identify the daily amount of caffeine, motive, physical symptoms, and
subjective perception for energy drink consumption. The participants were 291 students of nursing college
located in K city, Korea. Data were collected from October, 1th to November, 2nd 2013, and were
analyzed by descriptive statistics of SPSS 18.0 program. The result were as follows; 1) Daily mean amount
caffeine from energy drink was 13.81(29.81)mg, and 30.00(47.03)mg when test period. 2) Main reason of
energy drink consumption was related to perform study. 3) Physical symptoms were not reported after
energy drink consumption. 4) Most students responded energy drink affect negative influence to physical
health. According to these result, repetitive study with wide sampling method need to be conducted, and
the correlation study between energy drink and alcohol addiction, or psycho-physiologic problem should be
carried out.
