본고는 문학교육의 관점에서 바보형 인물에 대해 접근하고, 문학작품에서의 그 양상과 문학교육적 의미를 탐색하는 것이 목적이다. 이는 문학교육을 통해 문학 자체에 대한 이해도 필요하지만 문학교 육을 통해 현 청소년들의 당면 과제인 과열 경쟁, 피로 사회, 파괴된 인성, 학교 폭력 등에 대한 문제 에 접근하고 해결의 가능성을 모색하려는 필요성에서 출발한 바 크다. 그간 문학 연구에서는 어느 정 도 주목한 바보형 인물이 문학 교육의 현장에서는 적극적으로 다루어지지 못하였다. 따라서 문학교육 에서도 바보형 인물에 주목함으로써 문학교육적 관점에서 획득할 수 있는 의미는 무엇인지 인성교육 적 관점에서 구체적으로 검토하였다. 교과서에서 다루는 문학 작품에서 바보형 인물을 추출해 자주 나타나는 유형들을 분류한 뒤에 도덕발달이론과 인성교육의 요소에 비추어본 바보형 인물의 인성을 살펴보고, 내러티브를 활용한 가치 탐구 학습 모델로 구체적인 교육방안을 제시하였다.
This study has examined the aspects of foolish character in literature and the meaning of literary education. The meaningful points of this study are as follows. To begin with, from the viewpoint of character education, it could help to resolve current issues such as excessive competitive society, exhausting society, devastated personality, school violence, etc. Next, it provides a meaningful process in which learners experience the lives of other people in narrative learning style using its results for instruction, and then they could internalize the experience of various characters in works and identify their value. Furthermore, the interest coming from the word ‘foolish’, finally, causes the interest of learners in literature.
