본 연구는 우리나라 노인의 금연 시도에 관한 건강행위를 예측할 수 있는 통계학적 모형을 개발하 고 노년기 건강 유지를 위한 기초자료를 제공하였다. 2010년 서울시 복지패널에 참여한 60세 이상의 현재 흡연을 하는 노인 214명(남 187명, 여 27명)을 분석하였다. 결과 변수는 지난 1년간 금연 시도 경험 여부로 설정하였고, 설명변수는 성, 최종학력 현재 취업 상태, 가구 월 평균 총 소득, 배우자 유 무, 음주, 주관적 건강상태, 정기적인 운동, 주관적 가족관계, 주관적 교우관계, 지난 1달 간 우울증상 여부(없음, 있음)로 설정하였다. 분석은 인공신경망 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 노년기 금연 시도 예측 모 형을 구축한 결과, 교육수준, 취업상태, 주관적 건강상태, 주관적 가족관계, 주관적 교우관계는 노년기 금연 시도와 관련이 높은 요인이었다. 본 예측 모형을 기초로 표적 집단을 고려한 노년기 금연 프로 그램의 개발이 필요하다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that affects the health behaviors related to smoking cessation in Korean elderly. Data were from the A Study on the Seoul Welfare Panel Study 2010. Subjects were 214 persons (187 male, 27 female) aged 60 and older living in the community. Outcome variable was defined as experience of smoking cessation. Explanatory variables were included as gender, level of education, employment status, household income, marital status, drinking, subjective health status, physical activity, subjective family relationship, subjective relationship with friends, and depression. A prediction model was developed by the use of a neural network algorithm of data-mining approach. In the neural network algorithm analysis, education level, subjective relationship with friends, subjective health status, and state of employment, subjective family relationship were significantly associated with health behaviors related to smoking cessation in Korean elderly. Based on this result, systematic smoking cessation programs are required.
