The essence of future creative human resource development is identification and education of gifted
children. Although, with recognition of importance for gifted education, our government has supported lots
of efforts for gifted education, research works on educational contents and methods are not sufficient yet.
In the current knowledge and information society, IT-related industries are very important for a nation’s
economy. Currently more research works are necessary for gifted education in IT, especially for
identification of characteristics for the gifted children in IT, and development of educational contents in
accordance with objectives of the gifted education in IT. In this work, we develop a program for
elementary gifted education in IT. In this work, considering objectives and methods of gifted education in
IT, and characteristics of the gifted children in IT, and based on application of Renzulli’s 8-stage model,
our gifted program is proposed and developed. Our gifted program is expected to increase curiosity,
interest, applicability to real life for programming ability of gifted children in IT.
