본 연구의 목적은 여성인권의 범주 및 여성인권교육의 실태를 살펴보고, 양성평등한 사회 정착을 위한 여성인권교육이 나아가야 할 방향에 대해 논의 하고자하였다. 우리사회의 인권에 대한 의식과 인권에 대한 감수성을 심화시킬 수 있는 교육을 통해 인권 실현이 당면하고 있는 어려움의 해결 방 안을 찾고자 한다 이를 위해 우리 사회 소수자들이 당면하고 있는 인권 현실과 이들 소수자들에게 미치는 영향을 이해를 통해 차별 없는 사회를 위한 과제를 발견하고자 한다. 특히 성인지적 의식향상 을 통해 우리사회의 여성인권에 대한 민감성을 돌아보고자 한다. 결과적으로 개인과 공동체의 존엄한 삶을 위한 책임 있는 권리 주체이자 인권옹호자로서 학생들이 성장할 수 있도록 하기 위해서는 인권 교육의 목표와 과제를 두고 구체적으로 인권교육의 내용을 도출해야 할 것이다. 이를 통해 학교 및 사회에서 인권 친화적 문화를 실현하는데 이바지 할 수 있을 것이다.
