Routine and simple jobs are absolutely different stressors from challengeable, complex and meaningful
jobs because of requirements, results and preferences. Challengeable and complex jobs require more
intellectual flexibilities and intricate thought processes than simple routine jobs do. Furthermore, growth
need strength(GNS) refers to individual need for personal growth and development. People who have high
GNS prefer to challengeable works which need skill variety and task significance. In contrast people who
have low GNS prefer routine tasks. GNS explains that people have differences how they react to work.
The fitness between GNS and job characteristics influences psychological states such as experienced
meaning fullness of the work and outcomes such as high internal work motivation, satisfaction with work
and performance. In this study, we analyze the brain waves of each person whose GNS is different, and
which kind of response at stress.
