본 연구의 목적은 Q 방법론을 사용하여 유아교사들의 심미적 교수법에 대한 주관적 인식을 유형 화하는 것이다. 이를 위해 우선 전라남도 2개시에 소재한 유치원과 어린이집 교사 180명을 대상으로 설문지를 통해 심미적 교수법에 대한 자유진술문을 수집하였고, 연구자들의 심미적 교수법에 대한 문 헌연구를 통해 진술문을 수집하여, 전체 347개의 Q 진술문 모집단을 구성하였다. 이어서 2차례의 범 주화를 통해 Q 진술문 모집단으로부터 40개의 Q 표본을 추출한 후, P 표본으로 선정된 40명의 유아 교사들을 대상으로 Q 분류를 실시하였다. 그 결과 유아교사들의 심미적 교수법에 대한 인식은 4가지 로 유형화되었다. 4가지 유형은 각각 ‘지식교육을 위한 대안적 교수법’, ‘통합적 예술을 통한 감성교 육’, ‘일반교육과 구별되는 미(美) 중심 교수법’, ‘방법이 아닌 목적으로서의 심미적 교수법’으로 명명 되었다. 이를 통해 심미적 교수법의 본질에 대한 연수가 필요하며, 교사들의 심미적 교수법에 대한 인식 유형별로 연수의 내용과 방법을 달리해야 함을 시사 받았다.
The purpose of this study is to classify the subjective perception of early childhood teachers about aesthetic approach using Q methodology. 347 Q-population statements were collected by early childhood teachers’ responses on questionnaires and researchers’ literature review. And 40 Q samples were extracted form the Q-population statements through two-time categorizations. Then, Q-sorting was performed by 40 early childhood teachers who were P samples. As a result, the perception of early childhood teachers on aesthetic approach was classified into 4 types. They were named as 'alternative teaching method for knowledge education', 'emotional education through integrated art’, ‘aesthetic approach distinguished from general education’, ‘aesthetic approach focused on purpose rather than method’. This suggests that teacher training on the essence fo aesthetic approach is needed, and the content and method of training should be different for each type of perception of early childhood teachers about the aesthetic approach.
