The health behavior is an important factor determining an individual’s health level, so it needs to
improve the individual’s daily habits and to change his/her health-improving actions for living a
good-quality life. This study is descriptive survey research to understand what difference there is in health
behavior according to whether adults in Korea undergo health examinations. Data for 26,056 persons were
used for analysis as the second study where part of raw data from community health survey in 2014 were
analyzed in order to be suited for research purpose. In the results of analyzing these variables, with regard
to whether to practice health behavior according to whether adults in Korea received a health examination,
it was shown that the percentage of persons who practiced desirable health behavior was high in 'group to
receive health examination'. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare health education material or health
promotion program after being classified into 'health examination group' and 'group not to receive health
examination.' Besides, of the reasons why the physical check-up was not done among the people who have
not receive any physical check-up, the highest rate of response was the ‘not feeling for its need’, so it
needs to progressively promote the need for early check-up and to set out relevant educational programs in
order to increase the reception rate of physical check-up.
