The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of community adjusted activities of self determination for mental retarded adults living residential facility at the rural area. The subjects in this study were 3 mental retarded adults, have lived residential facility at the rural area. This study was consist of 2 issues. First, How to consist of program for community adjusted activities. Second, how much degree increase to self determination of mental retarded adults of program for cornmunity adjusted activities. The result of this study was as follow. The program of community adjusted activities should be made up of choice making by participant. The contents of this program was mainly composed to economic activities, leasure/recreation activities, and institute utilized abilities at the community. The community adjusted activities were effected autonomy domain, and psychological empowerment domain for all participant but self-realization domain was differed to participant’ s abilities. The more participant have experienced real activities, the higher self-realization domain scores were increased. But the number of participant in this study was not sensitive enough to measure of self determination.
