The TV program “Crayon Shin-chan" ranks on top as a program that parents do not want children to see in a research conducted by the National Congress of PTA of Japan every year. However, Tokuda & Nishimura (2009) verified that there are many good scenes that children should model after such as 1) the helping behavior toward others, 2) the relationships with his friends, and 3) the relationships with his family. The objective of this research is to clarify what is behind the negative feelings of the parents to not want to show it to their children. A written survey was conducted for the parents who have young children in May to July 2009. 498 answers were analyzed. The following was clarified from the research result. 1) Over 70% of people answered that the reason for the low evaluation from the parents is the crassness. 2 ) More than half of the parents though that there are something parents and children can learn from this story. 3) There are 71% of people who have watched the cartoon or read the comic book and 29% people have never seen it. 4) People who have seen this story remember contents such as the main character shaking his butt more than people who has never seen it. Despite of that, they have a tendency to want to recommend it to children more that the people who have never seen ìt.
