This article aims to understand the relationship between the Tang Dynasty foreign policy system and foreign relations by examining the acceptance and management system of the Tang Dynasty foreign mission. Tang’s economic support was the reason that Tang could form friendly relations with foreign countries. The regular passage and means of supplying goods between Tang and foreign countries was the arrival of foreign missionaries represented by Tribute envoy. In order to revitalize the foreign missions, Tang established and operated various kinds of hospitality system. When the examination was completed, the examination of the entrance was conducted again in the central Government. After the size of the envoys who could enter the capital was determined, the foreign ambassadors started to go to the capital by bring the copper fish sign and the document and item list issued by the Tang. In order to build an internationally friendly force, Tang established a management system for the use of foreign envoys. Tang examined the documents that were received by the foreign embassies in the nation and conducted inspections on the personnel and goods and proceeded with the entrance examination. The foreign mission was protected and guided by the provincial government and the administration and special treatment of the Tang Dynasty were poceeded on the remaining delegates in the provinces. The ambassadors were provided with provisions during the period of migration and settlement, and were provided with food for the returning countries after the mission. Guanyi(館驛) had the responsibility of transportation and lodging for the ambassadors.
