본 연구는 성 재활에 대한 인식 및 중요성에 대한 확인을 통해 성 재활의 기초자료를 제공함과 동 시에 성 재활에서의 작업치료사의 역할을 찾는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 일반인 총 311명을 대상으 로 직접 만나거나 인터넷을 활용하여 성 재활 인식도 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 빈도분석, 기술통계를 SPSS 18.0을 사용하였다. 본 연구를 통해 성 재활에 대해 TV(18.0), 인터넷(23.0%), 교육 (28.7%)을 통해 접하게 되었고 73%이상이 성 재활을 잘 모르겠다고 응답하였다. 또한 성 재활의 치료 대상에 대해서는 부부관계 문제(22.0%), 발기부전(17.8%), 일반인(14.5%)으로 인식하고 있었다. 성 재활 의 중요성에 대하여 98%이상이 매우 중요하다고 생각하고 있으며, 치료가 필요하다면 권유하거나 받 을 의향이 90%이상 있다고 보고하였다. 본 연구 결과, 언론과 체계적인 교육 등을 통해 성 재활의 지 속적인 홍보가 필요하고 작업치료사 직무영역의 확장이 필요하다는 것을 확인하였다. 추후 장애인을 포함하여 실제 클라이언트들에게 필요한 성 재활 교육 자료 마련과 성 재활에서 작업치료사의 구체 적인 역할 확인의 필요성을 시사한다.
This study aims to identify occupational therapist’s role for sexual rehabilitation through investigating perception about sexual rehabilitation among general people. A survey has undertaken from April to May, 2015 through interview on the street and Internet survey. Total 311 people participated. SPSS 18.0 software has been used for data analysis. Participants have heard about sexual rehabilitation through T.V(18.0%), Internet(23.0%) and education(28.7%). Over 73% of people responded ‘no idea’. Regarding potential clients for sexual rehabilitation, conjugal relationship(22.0%), impotence(17.8%), general people(14.5%) were responded. 98% answered that sexual rehabilitation is very important and 90% showed willingness to receive sexual rehabilitation if problem identified. This survey identifies that the growth demand of occupational therapy’s role related to sexual rehabilitation through the consistent advocacy and education. Further research about people with disabilities and experiment of intervention provided is required to identify occupational therapist’s role for sexual rehabilitation
