Leisure activities not only provide positive emotions but can also be a life force.
The purpose of this study was to identify the meaning and change of life of an
individual through golf, to understand the importance of others' choice and
utilization of their leisure activities, and to explore the factors that can support
the vitality of life. Specifically, this study aims to explore the experience and
meaning of participation in leisure activities of golfer. Data were collected using
the stimulus recall question and golf experience journal of the participants, and
analyzed based on the domain analysis and classification analysis proposed by
Spradley (1979). The results are as follows. The experience of participating in
the golf was derived from facing the strange experience of rounding, challenging
for my other discovery, conflict between hope and failure, and overcoming new
challenges beyond adversity. Through the experience of golf participation, it was
categorized as health and fitness improvement, situation judgment ability,
confidence and competence. The experience and meaning of the leisure
activities presented in this study will provide a basis for understanding the
growth and change as a homosexual person and thinking about the experience
and meaning of his or her community activities.
