The purpose of this study was to develop and test the effects of Sex Violence Prevention Program on
sexual awareness, sexual knowledges, sexual attitudes, sex violence experiences and sexual coping behaviors
of care workers in elderly care facilities. The experimental design for study was a quasi-experimental study
with a nonequivalent control group pre-post test. Total Participants were 54 care works of elderly care
facilities of A(26 in the experimental group) and C(30 in th control group) city. The experimental
intervention was carried out sex violence prevention program which consisted of 120 minutes per session, once a week for total of 5 session(10 hours) from February 23th to March 28th, 2015. All data were
analyzed by SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The sex violence prevention program in this study has been
identified as an effective intervention for promoting sexual awareness, sexual knowledges, sexual attitudes
and sexual coping behaviors, reducing sex violence experiences of care workers in elderly care facilities.
Therefore, it is suggested that a sex violence prevention program in this study can be utilized training
materials and workplace as an effective intervention for reducing sex violence experiences, making correct
sex awareness and sex knowledges and increasing sexual attitudes and sexual coping behaviors of care
workers and it can be based on standardized program development.
