영유아기의 통합예술교육은 그들의 창의성 향상, 전인격체로의 성장, 융통성 발달 등에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 이러한 통합예술교육 프로그램의 장점과 필요성에도 불구하고, 현재 우리나라에서는 통합예술교육 프로그램에 대한 학부모의 인식이 그리 높지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구는 학부모의 통합 예술교육에 대한 인식 및 요구 조사 연구를 통하여 통합예술교육의 효과와 내용, 필요성 등을 어떻게 인식하고 있는지를 검증하는 방법으로 진행하였다. 연구 방법은 설문조사이며, 서울시 거주 미취학 자녀를 둔 학부모 209명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과로는 학부모들의 영유아 통합예술교육 에 대한 인식의 부족, 예술교육의 중요성 및 예술적 창의성에 관한 이해 부족, 영유아 통합예술교육 의 비용에 민감한 반응을 보여주는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 통합예술교육의 개념과 필요성에 대한 학부모의 공감대 형성이 중요하고, 영유아 통합예술교육 프로그램의 수준, 다양성, 공급량 측면에서 아직 개선되어야 할 점들이 많다고 응답했다. 이에 본 연구는 학부모의 영유아 통합예술교육에 관한 인식 및 요구를 파악하여 국내 영유아 통합예술 프로그램 대중화 및 발전에 기여 할 수 있는 기초 자료로서의 의미를 지닌다.
Integrated arts education during early childhood helps improve creativity, growth as a whole person, and flexibility. Until now, there have been insufficient studies of the relationship between integrated arts education program in early childhood, parents perceptions about the integrated arts education. Therefore, this study would investigate a plan for the development of the domestic arts education by studying this part. This study was carried out by verifying the necessity of integrated arts education through survey with parents. In order to investigate the perceptions about the integrated arts education during early childhood, a survey was conducted with 209 parents with preschool children, living in Seoul. As a result of the survey, it turned out that the parents had a lack of awareness of integrated arts education and equipped their children with learning education rather than arts education. In particular, it was found that they are lacking in understanding the importance of artistic creativity and show a sensitive reaction to the cost of integrated arts education. Therefore, it is noted that it is important to form the consensus of the public concerning the concept and necessity of the integrated arts education. This study figures out the present condition of the domestic integrated arts education to contribute to the development of the domestic integrated arts areas during early childhood.
