The Dominican Republic is politically stable, with a wealth of foreign exchange reserves and high
economic growth rates and among the Central American Caribbean countries. It plays a key role in
multilateral or bilateral diplomacy in the region as a key member of the Organization of American States
(OAS), Association of Caribbean States (ACS) as well as the Central American Integration System (SICA)
and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC). Also, Korea's customs
administration information system was established as Dominica's customs management combined system
(SIGA) in 2009, and the Authorized Economic operator(AEO) MRA between the two countries was
concluded in 2015. Therefore, certified companies in both countries are benefiting from cargo inspection, import and export customs clearance. Therefore, this study examines the major industrial trends and
development policies of the Dominican Republic which has various advantages and relations with Korea,
and analyzes the factors affecting it, and suggests various ways to invest in and invest in related markets.
