This study was to make an understanding about the structure and process of interaction on experiences of self leadership and describe on a theory about self leadership of nursing college students. The process of data collection was applying with in-depth interviews on 11 nursing students who had experienced self leadership in activities. And then the author analyzed the data by grounded theory in Strauss and Corbin. The result were deduced 26 concepts, 13 subcategories, and 6 categories. The categories were follows; ‘Imagining preferred activity’, ‘Challenging for new activities’, ‘Developing best efforts’, ‘Applying support systems’, ‘Practicing with self-directed activities’, ‘Feeling achievement’. And through selective coding, a core category was developed by ‘Developing initiative with responsibility’ with spontaneity, challenge, accessability. Thus base on this results, the author expected to make more follow-up study for developing self leadership on nursing students through various education program.
