The purpose of this study is to verify mediation effects of acculturation and social support in the
relation between self esteem and parenting efficacy of female marriage immigrants. The questionnaires
measuring self esteem, acculturation, social support, parenting efficacy were administered to 416 female
marriage immigrants in Gwangju City and Jeollanamdo. The collected data were analyzed by structural
equation model using SPSS and AMOS. According to the results of analysis, social support has mediating
effect between self esteem and parenting efficacy, but acculturation has not. Also acculturation and social
support have multiple mediating effect between self esteem and parenting efficacy. The discussion and
suggestions according to the results of this study were represented.
